It’s so fucking hard to be a dog in India. No one pets them, people stand away and keep their hands close, just-in-case.
Like being a man in America, but who would trust THAT dog.
Who, in their right mind anyway.
Dogs carry disease and go from docile to snarling in less than a heartbeat. Less than one heartbeat of a man.
If there were any, that is.
We breed snarling dogs who’s compulsions are to possess or destroy. For no purposes other than those. There is only a little pretense, or sometimes a little more than that, but it’s always just a little more. And it’s never enough.
So, people are used to holding back their hands from snarling dogs, maintaining “that” space. Because dogs carry disease and no one CAN trust a dog that’s snarled even once.
Why would anyone who has been bitten? Or even witnessed a snarl. Why would anyone?
So you see, it is hard to be a dog in India. But only for the reasons you might expect.
